川本三郎(かわもと・さぶろう、1944年生まれ)は、日本の評論家、エッセイスト、翻訳家。東京大学法学部卒業後、朝日新聞社に勤務し、退社後は評論活動に専念した。映画、文学、東京、旅、漫画、昭和文化など幅広い分野を題材に、豊かな教養と温かなまなざしを生かした評論やエッセイで高い評価を受けている。『大正幻影』でサントリー学芸賞、『荷風と東京』で読売文学賞、『林芙美子の昭和』で毎日出版文化賞・桑原武夫学芸賞、『白秋望景』で伊藤整文学賞を受賞。近年は『荷風の昭和』で小林秀雄賞も受賞した。著書に『マイ・バック・ページ』『成瀬巳喜男 映画の面影』『「男はつらいよ」を旅する』などがある。

Saburo Kawamoto (born 1944) is a Japanese critic, essayist, and translator, widely regarded as one of Japan's foremost cultural critics. After graduating from the University of Tokyo, he worked for The Asahi Shimbun before becoming a full-time writer. His work spans film, literature, Tokyo, travel, manga, and the cultural history of the Shōwa era, and is celebrated for its breadth of knowledge, elegant prose, and deep affection for everyday life and urban culture. He received the Suntory Prize for Social Sciences and Humanities for "Taisho Genei," the Yomiuri Prize for Literature for "Kafū to Tokyo," the Mainichi Publishing Culture Award and the Kuwabara Takeo Academic Award for "Hayashi Fumiko no Shōwa," and the Itō Sei Literature Award for "Hakushū Bōkei." More recently, he won the Kobayashi Hideo Prize for "Kafū no Shōwa." His other notable books include "My Back Page," "Mikio Naruse: Echoes of Cinema," and "Traveling with Tora-san."
