Kappi (born 1985) is a Japanese manga artist and manga writer from Kanagawa Prefecture. After graduating from Musashino Art University, he worked as an art director at an advertising agency and later at a web-production company before becoming an independent manga creator. He first attracted wide attention in 2015 with the web manga "Facebook Police" and has drawn extensively on his experience in advertising and the creative industries. His representative work, "Hidarikiki no Eren," follows advertising designer Koichi Asakura and exceptionally gifted artist Eren Yamagishi, depicting ambition, envy, creative frustration, and the pressures faced by people who make a living from their ideas. Kappi wrote and drew the original web version, while the remake serialized on Shonen Jump+ was written by him and illustrated by nifuni; the series was subsequently adapted for television in both live-action and anime formats.
