Kamado is a Japanese writer and editor from Fukuoka Prefecture. After working as a writer for television and radio, he joined Burg Hamburg Burg in 2019. He creates editorial and sponsored content for Omocoro and has served as editor-in-chief of its sister publication, Omocoro Bros. His books with fellow writer Mikunoshin document the experience of someone who finds reading difficult, following his progress through a story in conversation rather than presenting a finished interpretation. Hon o Yonda Koto ga Nai 32-sai ga Hajimete Hon o Yomu captures questions about characters, unexpected associations and moments of emotional discovery. The subsequent textbook volume, Hon ga Yomenai 33-sai ga Kokugo no Kyokasho o Yomu, returns to literature encountered in Japanese language classes, including a second attempt at a previously abandoned story and a first encounter with classical Japanese prose. Kamado explains unfamiliar words and offers context while responding to Mikunoshin’s observations. The third book, Hon ga Yomenai 34-sai ga Hajimete Gongitsune o Yomu (2026), became the first title issued by Omocoro Publishing. It brings the same conversational approach to a familiar schoolroom story and includes an interview with author Uketsu. Across the series, pauses, questions and imaginative detours become part of the narrative. Recording the act of reading itself allows the two writers to share the discoveries that an experienced reader might otherwise overlook.
