略歴（Biography）
川上珠実（かわかみ たまみ、Tamami Kawakami、1986–） ジャーナリスト、毎日新聞記者。早稲田大学政治経済学部卒業後、2008年に毎日新聞社へ入社。社会部や外信部を経て、2022年から2025年までニューデリー支局長としてアフガニスタンやパキスタンなど南アジア8カ国を取材した。紛争、女性の権利、国際政治を現地から粘り強く報じる記者として知られ、取材班の一員として携わった「特権を問う―日米地位協定60年」で第26回新聞労連ジャーナリズム大賞を受賞している。代表作『タリバンの世界―秘密学校の少女たち』は、タリバン再支配下のアフガニスタンで教育の機会を奪われた少女たちや市民への長期取材をもとに、現地社会の実情と人びとの暮らしを描いている。
Tamami Kawakami (born 1986) is a Japanese journalist and reporter for The Mainichi Newspapers. After graduating from Waseda University, she joined Mainichi in 2008, covering domestic affairs before serving as New Delhi bureau chief from 2022 to 2025, where she reported on Afghanistan, Pakistan, and other South Asian countries. Her work focuses on conflict, international affairs, and the lives of women and civilians in regions affected by political upheaval. As a member of the reporting team behind the investigative series "Questioning Privilege: Sixty Years of the U.S.–Japan Status of Forces Agreement," she received the 26th Japan Newspaper Workers' Union Journalism Award. Her best-known book, "The World of the Taliban: Girls in Secret Schools," draws on years of on-the-ground reporting to portray the realities of life under Taliban rule and the determination of girls who continue to pursue an education despite severe restrictions.
