Tatsuhito Kaneko (born 1966) is a Japanese sports journalist and nonfiction author. Born in Yokohama, Japan, he graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences at Hosei University before beginning his career with a tennis magazine and later the editorial staff of Soccer Digest. Since becoming a freelance writer in 1995, he has been widely recognized for his in-depth reporting on football and other sports, exploring not only athletic performance but also the personal struggles, leadership, and human drama behind competition. In 1997, he received the Mizuno Sports Writer Award for his articles published in Sports Graphic Number. Renowned for his immersive reporting and compelling narrative style, Kaneko is regarded as one of Japan's leading writers of sports nonfiction, bringing readers a deeper understanding of athletes, teams, and the cultural significance of sport.
