略歴(Biography)
加賀谷きよい(かがや きよい、Kiyoi Kagaya、1980–) 小説家、絵本作家。岩手県花巻市出身、東北大学卒業。2026年、「天を朱に染め―御伽草子異聞―」で日本ファンタジーノベル大賞を受賞し、デビューした。サカキヤヨイ名義では絵本の創作やイラストレーションも手がけ、幻想的な世界観と物語性を生かした作品を発表している。代表作『朱天の都』は、受賞作を改題・改稿した長編小説で、酒呑童子伝説を新たな視点から描き直し、人と異なる存在との共生や正義のあり方を問いかけている。
Kiyoi Kagaya (born 1980) is a Japanese novelist and picture-book author. Born in Hanamaki, Iwate Prefecture, she graduated from Tohoku University. She made her literary debut after winning the 2026 Japan Fantasy Novel Award with "Ten o Shu ni Some: Otogizoshi Ibun." Under the pen name Sakaki Yayoi, she has also published picture books and worked as an illustrator, creating works distinguished by their imaginative storytelling. Her best-known novel, "Shuten no Miyako," a revised and expanded version of her award-winning manuscript, reimagines the legend of Shuten Dōji while exploring themes of coexistence with those perceived as different and the nature of justice.
