Carmine Gallo is an American communication adviser and instructor. After working as a journalist covering business and technology for outlets including CNN, he began coaching executives and entrepreneurs in presentation, storytelling, and leadership communication. He also teaches in executive education at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. In “Talk Like TED: The 9 Public-Speaking Secrets of the World’s Top Minds,” Gallo draws on his analysis of hundreds of TED talks and interviews with leading speakers to identify techniques—including personal storytelling, conversational delivery, novelty, humor, and the eighteen-minute format—that make presentations emotionally engaging and memorable.
