カルロス・アイル（Carlos Eire、1950–）は、キューバ生まれのアメリカの歴史学者。イェール大学教授を務め、近世ヨーロッパ史、宗教改革、カトリック史、宗教文化史を専門としている。キューバ革命後の1962年、親元を離れて子どもたちをアメリカへ避難させた「ピーター・パン作戦」によって渡米した。代表作 "Waiting for Snow in Havana" では、革命前後のキューバで過ごした少年時代と亡命の経験を、失われた故郷への記憶とともに描き、2003年の全米図書賞（ノンフィクション部門）を受賞した。
Carlos Eire (1950–) is a Cuban-born American historian. A professor at Yale University, he specializes in early modern European history, the Reformation, Catholicism, and the history of religion. In 1962, following the Cuban Revolution, he was sent to the United States without his parents as part of Operation Pedro Pan. His best-known book, "Waiting for Snow in Havana", recounts his childhood in Cuba and his experience of exile, combining personal memory with a vivid portrait of a society transformed by revolution. The memoir won the 2003 National Book Award for Nonfiction.
