DBCピエール（DBC Pierre、本名：Peter Warren Finlay、1961–） オーストラリア生まれの小説家。メキシコで育ち、広告業界などを経て作家となった。2003年、『ヴァーノン・ゴッド・リトル 死をめぐる21世紀の喜劇』（原題 "Vernon God Little"）でブッカー賞を受賞し、デビュー作で同賞を受賞した数少ない作家の一人となった。『ヴァーノン・ゴッド・リトル 死をめぐる21世紀の喜劇』は、高校で起きた銃乱射事件の余波のなかで殺人容疑をかけられた少年の逃避行を通して、メディア社会や大衆心理、現代社会の不条理を鋭い風刺とユーモアで描いている。
DBC Pierre (born Peter Warren Finlay, 1961) is an Australian-born novelist who grew up in Mexico before working in advertising and other fields. In 2003, he won the Booker Prize for his debut novel, "Vernon God Little," becoming one of the few writers to receive the award for a first novel. His best-known novel, "Vernon God Little," follows a teenage boy falsely implicated after a school shooting, using dark satire to explore media culture, public hysteria, and the absurdities of contemporary society.
