Peter Fritzsche(ピーター・フリッチェ)は、アメリカの歴史学者、ノンフィクション作家。イリノイ大学アーバナ・シャンペーン校教授。近現代ドイツ史、ヨーロッパ史、ナチズム、ホロコースト、歴史認識を専門とし、20世紀ドイツ社会の変容を政治・文化・日常生活の視点から研究している。豊富な一次史料に基づく実証的な研究と平易な語り口で知られ、ナチ体制下を生きた人々の経験や記憶を多角的に描き出す研究を通じて、現代ドイツ史への理解を深めることに大きく貢献している。
Peter Fritzsche is an American historian and nonfiction author specializing in modern German and European history. He is a professor of history at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His research focuses on Nazi Germany, the Holocaust, historical memory, and the political, social, and cultural transformations of twentieth-century Europe.
