赤嶺 淳（AKAMINE Jun）- 東南アジア研究・食生活誌学・フィールドワーク教育論研究者、一橋大学社会学研究科教授

赤嶺淳（あかみね・じゅん、1967年生まれ）は、日本の文化人類学者、地域研究者。一橋大学大学院社会学研究科教授。青山学院大学卒業後、フィリピン大学でフィリピン学の博士号（Ph.D.）を取得。名古屋市立大学准教授などを経て現職。専門は東南アジア地域研究、文化人類学、食生活誌学で、ナマコやクジラ、パーム油などを題材に、人間と自然、食文化、資源利用の歴史とグローバルな流通を研究している。フィールドワークに基づく実証的な研究と、人類学・環境学・歴史学を横断する視点で高く評価されている。著書に『ナマコを歩く』『鯨を生きる』『クジラを食べていたころ』『世界を喰らう』などがある。

Jun Akamine (born 1967) is a Japanese cultural anthropologist and Professor at the Graduate School of Social Sciences, Hitotsubashi University. After graduating from Aoyama Gakuin University, he earned a Ph.D. in Philippine Studies from the University of the Philippines. He previously taught at Nagoya City University before joining Hitotsubashi University. His research focuses on Southeast Asian studies, cultural anthropology, food studies, and environmental history, examining the relationships between people, natural resources, and global commodity chains through subjects such as sea cucumbers, whales, and palm oil. Widely recognized for combining long-term fieldwork with historical and anthropological analysis, he has made significant contributions to understanding the cultural and ecological dimensions of food and resource use. His notable books include "Walking with Sea Cucumbers," "Living with Whales," "When We Ate Whale," and "Devouring the World."
