ユリア・ディン（Yulia Din）- 歴史研究者

ユリア・ディンは、サハリン朝鮮人史とサハリン島史を専門とする歴史研究者。旧ソ連のグルジア共和国（現ジョージア）のトビリシに生まれ、サハリン国立大学大学院国史学研究科を修了した。国立サハリン州歴史文書館での勤務を経て、サハリン州郷土博物館の学術研究担当副館長を務める。『サハリン朝鮮人ディアスポラ――付・柳時郁「山中半月記」』では、日本統治下の樺太へ渡った朝鮮人が、戦後の引き揚げから取り残され、国籍や帰還をめぐる問題を抱えながらソ連・ロシア社会へ適応していった過程を、各国の史資料と当事者の記録から明らかにしている。同書の朝鮮語版により、2024年に庸齋新進学術賞を受賞した。

Yulia Din is a historian specializing in the history of Sakhalin Koreans and Sakhalin Island. Born in Tbilisi in the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic, now Georgia, she completed graduate studies in national history at Sakhalin State University. After working at the State Historical Archive of the Sakhalin Region, she became deputy director for academic research at the Sakhalin Regional Museum. In her study published in Japanese as “Saharin Chosenjin Diasupora,” Din traces how Koreans who migrated to Japanese-ruled Karafuto were prevented from returning home after World War II and subsequently confronted questions of nationality, repatriation, and adaptation within Soviet and post-Soviet society. The Korean edition of the book received the Yongjae Emerging Scholar Award in 2024.
