略歴（Biography）
楊双子（ヤン・シュアンズ、Yang Shuang-zi、1984年生まれ）は、台湾の小説家、エッセイスト。本名は楊若慈。台湾・台中市生まれで、国立台湾大学で歴史学を学んだ。台湾の歴史、ジェンダー、植民地支配、食文化、記憶をテーマに、綿密な歴史考証と豊かな物語性を融合させた作品で高く評価され、現代台湾文学を代表する作家の一人とされる。2020年刊行の『台湾漫遊録』は、日本統治時代の台湾を舞台に、日本人女性作家と台湾人通訳の交流を描いた歴史小説として大きな注目を集めた。英訳版『Taiwan Travelogue』は、翻訳者のLin Kingとともに2024年のNational Book Award for Translated Literatureを受賞し、台湾文学として初めて同賞を受賞した作品となった。著書に『台湾漫遊鉄道のふたり』『四維街一号に暮らす五人』などがある。

Yang Shuang-zi (born 1984) is a Taiwanese novelist and essayist. Born in Taichung under the name Yang Jo-tzu, she studied history at National Taiwan University. Widely regarded as one of the leading voices in contemporary Taiwanese literature, her fiction combines meticulous historical research with vivid storytelling to explore Taiwan's colonial past, gender, cultural identity, food, and collective memory. Her novel Taiwan Travelogue won the 2024 National Book Award for Translated Literature, together with its translator Lin King, becoming the first work of Taiwanese literature to receive the prize. Her other notable works include The Season of Blooming Flowers and Five People Living at No. 1 Siwei Street.
