横森剛（よこもり たけし）は、日本の燃焼工学者。慶應義塾大学理工学部教授。専門は燃焼工学、熱流体工学で、火炎の構造や燃焼制御、エネルギー変換技術に関する研究を行っている。燃焼現象の基礎研究から航空宇宙、自動車、発電などへの応用まで幅広く取り組み、環境負荷の低減や次世代エネルギー技術の発展にも貢献している。『燃えるとは何か』では、人類と火の歴史をたどりながら、燃焼の仕組みや最新の燃焼技術をわかりやすく解説し、「燃える」という身近な現象に秘められた科学の魅力を伝えている。
