ヨージェフ・デブレツェニ（József Debreczeni、1905–1978） ジャーナリスト、詩人、作家。現在のセルビア・バチュカ地方に生まれ、ハンガリー語で活動した。第二次世界大戦中にアウシュヴィッツをはじめとするナチスの強制収容所へ送られ、その体験をもとに戦後、ホロコーストの実態を記録した作品を執筆した。長らく忘れられていたが、近年になって国際的に再評価が進んでいる。代表作『Cold Crematorium』（未邦訳）は、アウシュヴィッツやその後の強制収容所での体験を克明に記録し、極限状況に置かれた人間の姿を描いたホロコースト文学の重要作である。
József Debreczeni (1905–1978) was a Hungarian-language journalist, poet, and writer born in what is now Serbia. During the Second World War, he was deported to Auschwitz and other Nazi concentration camps, experiences that became the basis of his most important work. Although his writings remained largely overlooked for decades, they have recently gained international recognition as significant firsthand accounts of the Holocaust. His best-known book, "Cold Crematorium: Reporting from the Land of Auschwitz," is a powerful memoir that chronicles life inside Auschwitz and the subsequent camp system, offering one of the most vivid survivor testimonies of the Holocaust.
