Takashi Wada (1974–) is a Japanese film journalist and producer. He joined Bunka Tsushin in 1997 and spent seventeen years reporting for a film-industry newspaper, covering Japanese and international productions, major studios and independent companies, distributors, cinemas, and filmmakers. After serving as an editor-in-chief and company director, he joined the film information website Eiga.com in 2014, where he has worked on domestic box-office rankings and film-industry coverage. In “Eiga Bijinesu,” he explains how films move from planning and production through distribution, theatrical exhibition, and secondary markets to reach audiences and generate revenue.
