ウィルコ・グラフ・フォン・ハルデンベルク（Wilko Graf von Hardenberg） 科学史・環境史を専門とする歴史家。ベルリンのフンボルト大学で「自然の音―サウンドスケープと環境意識（1750–1950年）」プロジェクトを主導し、自然環境の認識や測量技術、環境政策の歴史を研究している。イタリアのファシズムと自然保護、海面測定の歴史、環境と科学技術の関係をテーマに幅広く執筆している。代表作『海の水位の科学史―基準点0をめぐる不安定な歴史』（原題 "Sea Level: A History"）は、標高の基準となる平均海面がどのように定義され、測定されてきたのかをたどり、科学・技術・政治が交差する300年の歴史を描いている。
Wilko Graf von Hardenberg is a historian of science and the environment. He leads the project "The Sound of Nature: Soundscapes and Environmental Awareness, 1750–1950" at Humboldt University in Berlin, where his research explores the history of environmental knowledge, measurement, and policy. His work spans environmental history, the history of science, and the environmental legacy of Italian Fascism. His best-known book, "Sea Level: A History," traces how mean sea level became the global reference point for measuring elevation, showing how its definition evolved through the interplay of science, technology, politics, and environmental change over the past three centuries.
