鳥山明（とりやま あきら、1955–2024） 漫画家。1980年代以降の日本漫画を代表する作家の一人。独創的なキャラクターデザイン、躍動感あふれるアクション描写、ユーモアあふれる世界観で幅広い世代の読者を魅了した。漫画だけでなく、『ドラゴンクエスト』シリーズをはじめとするゲームのキャラクターデザインも手がけ、日本のポップカルチャーを世界へ広める上で大きな役割を果たした。代表作『ドラゴンボール』は、少年漫画の枠を超えて世界的な人気を獲得し、多くの漫画家やクリエイターに影響を与えた作品である。
Akira Toriyama (1955–2024) was a Japanese manga artist and character designer whose work helped shape modern manga and anime. Renowned for his distinctive visual style, dynamic action scenes, and imaginative storytelling, he created some of Japan's most influential popular culture works.
