Thomas Philippon（トマ・フィリポン、1974年生まれ）は、フランス出身の経済学者。New York University Stern School of Business教授。専門は金融経済学、産業組織論、競争政策で、金融市場や企業競争が経済成長や消費者利益に与える影響を研究している。『The Great Reversal』『The Great Demographic Reversal』『The Economist's Craft』などの著書を通じて、市場競争の衰退や市場の集中が経済に及ぼす影響を分析し、公正で競争的な市場の重要性を論じてきた。実証研究に基づく分析をもとに、現代経済が抱える課題を明らかにし、競争政策や市場改革に新たな視点を提示している。
Thomas Philippon (born 1974) is a French economist and Professor of Finance at the NYU Stern School of Business. His research focuses on financial economics, industrial organization, and competition policy, with particular emphasis on how financial markets and market competition shape economic growth and consumer welfare. He is the author of The Great Reversal, The Great Demographic Reversal, and The Economist's Craft, in which he examines the consequences of declining competition and increasing market concentration.
