鳥山 まこと（TORIYAMA Makoto）- 小説家、建築家

鳥山まこと（とりやま まこと、1992–） 日本の小説家、建築士。京都府立大学卒業後、九州大学大学院修士課程を修了し、建築士として実務に携わる傍ら創作活動を始めた。2023年、「あるもの」で第29回三田文學新人賞を受賞してデビュー。建築の専門知識と経験を生かし、「家」や「建築」を人々の記憶や時間の器として描く独自の作風で注目を集めている。代表作『時の家』は、第47回野間文芸新人賞を受賞し、2026年には第174回芥川賞を受賞した。

Makoto Toriyama (1992–) is a Japanese novelist and architect. After graduating from Kyoto Prefectural University and completing a master's degree at Kyushu University, he began writing fiction while working as an architect. His literary debut, "Aru Mono," won the 29th Mita Bungaku New Writers' Prize in 2023. Drawing on his professional background, Toriyama explores architecture, memory, and the passage of time, establishing a distinctive voice in contemporary Japanese literature. His novel "Toki no Ie" ("The House of Time") won the 47th Noma Literary New Face Prize and, in 2026, the 174th Akutagawa Prize.
