ドワーケシュ・パテル（Dwarkesh Patel、2000年 - ） アメリカのライター、ポッドキャストホスト。インド生まれ。テキサス大学オースティン校でコンピュータサイエンスを学び、AI、科学、経済学、歴史など幅広い分野の第一人者への長時間インタビューを配信する「Dwarkesh Podcast」を主宰している。徹底した事前調査に基づく知的で深い対話で知られ、AI研究者やテクノロジー業界のリーダーたちから高い評価を受けるなど、現在もっとも注目される若手インタビュアーの一人である。2024年には『TIME』誌の「TIME100 AI」に選出された。代表作『AIは世界をどう変えるのか？ 「AIをつくった人たち」の証言から読み解く未来』（原題："The Scaling Era: An Oral History of AI, 2019–2025"）は、サム・アルトマン、デミス・ハサビス、ダリオ・アモデイらAI開発の最前線に立つ研究者や起業家へのインタビューをもとに、生成AI革命の舞台裏と、その先にある未来像を描いた一冊である。AIの技術的進歩からAGIの可能性、社会への影響までを当事者たちの証言を通して多角的に考察し、AI時代を理解するための重要な記録となっている。
Dwarkesh Patel (born 2000) is an American writer and podcast host. Born in India and raised in the United States, he studied computer science at the University of Texas at Austin before launching the "Dwarkesh Podcast," where he conducts deeply researched long-form interviews with leading figures in artificial intelligence, science, economics, and history. Known for his rigorous preparation and intellectually ambitious conversations, he has quickly become one of the most influential interviewers covering AI and emerging technologies. In 2024, he was named to TIME's "TIME100 AI" list. His best-known book, "The Scaling Era: An Oral History of AI, 2019–2025," distills conversations with many of the leading architects of modern AI into a coherent account of the scaling era, offering first-hand perspectives on the technology, its future, and its profound implications for society.
