Tina Rosenberg (born 1960) is an American journalist and author. A graduate of Harvard University, she has written extensively on international affairs, human rights, democracy, development, and public health for The New York Times Magazine, The New York Times, The Guardian, and other leading publications. Renowned for her deeply reported narrative nonfiction, she won the 1996 Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction for "The Haunted Land: Facing Europe's Ghosts After Communism," an examination of how Eastern European societies confronted the legacy of communist rule after the Cold War. Her other notable books include "Join the Club: How Peer Pressure Can Transform the World" and "The Big Test: The Secret History of the American Meritocracy."
