David Zucchino（デイヴィッド・ズッキーノ、1958年生まれ）は、アメリカのジャーナリスト、作家。長年にわたり Los Angeles Times や The Philadelphia Inquirer の記者として活動し、戦争、国際紛争、人種問題、社会問題を精力的に取材してきた。アフガニスタン、イラク、南アフリカなど世界各地の紛争地を取材した経験を持ち、綿密な現地取材と歴史的視点を組み合わせたノンフィクションで高く評価されている。2014年には中央アフリカ共和国の内戦報道でピューリッツァー賞 国際報道部門を受賞した。著書『Wilmington's Lie: The Murderous Coup of 1898 and the Rise of White Supremacy』は、1898年のウィルミントン暴動を描いた歴史ノンフィクションとして高い評価を受け、2021年のピューリッツァー賞 一般ノンフィクション部門を受賞した。著書に『Thunder Run』『Myth of the Welfare Queen』『Wilmington's Lie』などがある。
David Zucchino (born 1958) is an American journalist and author. During a distinguished career with The Philadelphia Inquirer and Los Angeles Times, he reported extensively on war, international conflict, race, and social issues. He has covered conflicts in Afghanistan, Iraq, South Africa, and numerous other regions, earning recognition for combining on-the-ground reporting with historical analysis. In 2014, he received the Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting for his coverage of the civil war in the Central African Republic. His book "Wilmington's Lie: The Murderous Coup of 1898 and the Rise of White Supremacy" examines the 1898 Wilmington coup and its lasting impact on American democracy and racial politics, and won the 2021 Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction.
