略歴（Biography）
下山進（しもやま・すすむ、1958年生まれ）は、日本のノンフィクション作家、ジャーナリスト。慶應義塾大学経済学部卒業後、文藝春秋に入社し、『文藝春秋』編集部や『週刊文春』編集部などで記者・編集者として活躍した。独立後は、日本経済や企業、科学、医療、歴史をテーマに、徹底した取材に基づくノンフィクション作品を発表している。綿密な資料調査と関係者への丹念なインタビューを通して、組織や人物の実像を描き出す手法で高い評価を受けている。『2050年のメディア』で日本エッセイスト・クラブ賞、『アルツハイマー征服』で講談社ノンフィクション賞を受賞。著書に『2050年のメディア』『アルツハイマー征服』『2050年の技術』『白い航跡』などがある。

Susumu Shimoyama (born 1958) is a Japanese nonfiction writer and journalist. After graduating from Keio University, he joined Bungeishunju Ltd., where he worked as a reporter and editor for Bungeishunju and Shukan Bunshun. Since becoming an independent writer, he has produced acclaimed works of narrative nonfiction on business, science, medicine, technology, and modern Japanese history. Renowned for his meticulous reporting and extensive interviews, he explores the people, institutions, and ideas that shape contemporary society. He received the Japan Essayists' Club Award for "Media in 2050" and the Kodansha Nonfiction Award for "Conquering Alzheimer's." His other notable books include "Technology in 2050" and "White Wake."
