塩﨑 香織（しおざき かおり）は、オランダ語の翻訳・通訳を中心に、英語の書籍翻訳も手がける翻訳家、通訳者。自然科学や身体、心を扱うノンフィクション、オランダ語の文学などを訳してきた。モンティ・ライマンの『皮膚、人間のすべてを語る』（原題 “The Remarkable Life of the Skin”）では、身体の表面を覆う臓器を、感覚、免疫、社会的な関係が交わる場として考察する本を翻訳した。同じ著者の『痛み、人間のすべてにつながる』（原題 “The Painful Truth”）では、痛みを単なる身体の損傷の信号として捉える見方から、脳や心理、生活環境との関係へと議論を広げる書籍を訳した。さらに『脳のなかの免疫、免疫のなかの心』（原題 “The Immune Mind”）では、脳と免疫系を別々の仕組みとして扱ってきた歴史を振り返り、両者の相互作用をめぐる研究と、身体と心を分けて考えることの問題を紹介する本の日本語版を担当した。
Kaori Shiozaki is a Japanese translator and interpreter working primarily from Dutch, with additional book translations from English. Her work includes literature and nonfiction on science, the body, and the mind. She translated Monty Lyman’s “The Remarkable Life of the Skin,” which examines skin as an organ connecting sensation, immunity, and social experience. In Lyman’s “The Painful Truth,” she translated a discussion moving beyond the idea of pain as a simple signal of physical injury to examine its relationships with the brain, psychology, and everyday circumstances. She also translated his “The Immune Mind.” That book revisits the historical separation of neuroscience and immunology, presenting research into their interactions and examining difficulties arising from treating physical and mental processes as entirely separate systems.
