嶋津輝(しまづ てる、1969–) 日本の小説家。会社員として働いたのち創作を始め、都市に生きる人々の暮らしや労働、家族や共同体のつながりを、温かなまなざしと端正な筆致で描いている。2016年、「姉といもうと」で第96回オール讀物新人賞を受賞し、2019年に短編集『スナック墓場』で単行本デビュー。2026年、『カフェーの帰り道』で第174回直木賞を受賞した。同作は、大正から昭和にかけて東京・上野のカフェーで働く女性たちの日常を通して、市井の人々の営みと時代の移り変わりを丁寧に描き出した。
Teru Shimazu (1969–) is a Japanese novelist who began writing fiction after a career as a company employee. Her work focuses on the lives of ordinary people, exploring work, family, and community with warmth and quiet precision. After winning the 96th All Yomimono Prize for New Writers in 2016 with "Ane to Imōto" ("The Older Sister and the Younger Sister"), she made her book debut in 2019 with the short story collection "Snack Hakaba". In 2026, she received the 174th Naoki Prize for "Café no Kaerimichi" ("The Road Home from the Café"), a historical novel portraying the lives of café hostesses in Tokyo's Ueno district from the Taishō to the early Shōwa period, illuminating the changing times through the experiences of ordinary women.
