ジュノ・ディアス（1968年–）は、ドミニカ共和国出身のアメリカの小説家、短編作家。サントドミンゴに生まれ、6歳のとき家族とともにニュージャージー州へ移住した。英語とスペイン語、俗語や大衆文化への言及を交えながら、移民生活、人種、家族、男性性、ドミニカ共和国の独裁の歴史を描く。短編集『ハイウェイとゴミ溜め』（Drown）で注目され、ドミニカ系のオタク青年と一族にまつわる物語『オスカー・ワオの短く凄まじい人生』（The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao）で2008年ピュリッツァー賞を受賞した。ほかに連作短編集『こうしてお前は彼女にフラれる』（This Is How You Lose Her）がある。2012年にはマッカーサー・フェローに選ばれ、マサチューセッツ工科大学で創作を教えている。
Junot Díaz (1968–) is a Dominican American novelist and short-story writer. Born in Santo Domingo, he moved with his family to New Jersey at the age of six. Mixing English and Spanish with slang and references to popular culture, his fiction examines immigration, race, family, masculinity, and the history of dictatorship in the Dominican Republic. He first gained attention with the story collection “Drown.” His novel “The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao,” centered on a Dominican American science-fiction fan and the troubled history of his family, won the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. His other books include the linked-story collection “This Is How You Lose Her.” Díaz received a MacArthur Fellowship in 2012 and teaches creative writing at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
