Joshua Cohen（ジョシュア・コーエン、1980年生まれ）は、アメリカの小説家、エッセイスト、翻訳家。ニュージャージー州生まれ。若くして作家活動を始め、現代社会におけるテクノロジー、メディア、政治、ユダヤ人のアイデンティティなどをテーマに、知的で実験的な作品を発表してきた。緻密な構成とユーモア、鋭い社会批評を融合させた作風で高く評価され、現代アメリカ文学を代表する作家の一人とされる。2021年刊行の『The Netanyahus』は、イスラエルの歴史学者ベンツィオン・ネタニヤフのアメリカ訪問を題材に、歴史、政治、ユダヤ人のアイデンティティを風刺的に描いた作品として、2022年のピューリッツァー賞 フィクション部門を受賞した。著書に『Witz』『Book of Numbers』『Moving Kings』『The Netanyahus』などがある。
Joshua Cohen (born 1980) is an American novelist, essayist, and translator. Born in New Jersey, he began publishing fiction at a young age and has become one of the leading voices in contemporary American literature. His work combines intellectual ambition, formal experimentation, dark humor, and sharp social criticism while exploring technology, media, politics, Jewish identity, and modern culture. His novel The Netanyahus (2021), inspired by the visit of Israeli historian Benzion Netanyahu to an American college, won the 2022 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for its satirical exploration of history, politics, and identity. His other notable works include Witz, Book of Numbers, and Moving Kings.
