Joseph Cox（ジョセフ・コックス）は、イギリスのジャーナリスト、作家。サイバーセキュリティ、デジタル監視、プライバシー、ハッカー文化を専門とし、長年にわたりテクノロジーが社会にもたらす影響を取材している。Viceのテクノロジー専門メディア Motherboard の記者を経て、現在は404 Mediaの共同創設者・記者として活動。著書『Dark Wire』では、暗号化通信サービスをめぐる大規模なおとり捜査の内幕を描き、法執行機関とサイバー犯罪の攻防を克明に伝えている。綿密な取材と技術への深い理解をもとに、デジタル社会の最前線で起きている出来事をわかりやすく読み解いている。
