Jonathan Haidt (born 1963) is an American social psychologist and Professor of Ethical Leadership at New York University's Stern School of Business. His research focuses on moral psychology, political psychology, and the social foundations of human behavior, with recent work examining the effects of social media on young people and democratic society. Widely known for applying insights from psychology, evolution, and culture to contemporary social issues, he has become one of the leading public intellectuals in his field.
