ジョン・ボルトン（1948年生まれ）は、アメリカの法律家、外交・安全保障政策の専門家。レーガン、ジョージ・H・W・ブッシュ、ジョージ・W・ブッシュ各政権で司法省や国務省の要職を歴任し、2005年から2006年まで国連大使、2018年から2019年までドナルド・トランプ政権の国家安全保障問題担当大統領補佐官を務めた。イランや北朝鮮などに対する強硬姿勢と、国際機関や軍備管理条約への批判的な立場で知られる。代表作『ジョン・ボルトン回顧録 トランプ大統領との453日』（原題 "The Room Where It Happened"）では、米朝首脳会談、イラン政策、中国・ロシアとの交渉をめぐる政権内部の議論と、トランプとの対立を記録した。
John Bolton (born 1948) is an American lawyer and foreign and national security policy specialist. He held senior positions in the Justice and State Departments under the Reagan, George H. W. Bush, and George W. Bush administrations, served as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations from 2005 to 2006, and was President Donald Trump’s national security adviser from 2018 to 2019. He is known for advocating a hard-line approach toward countries including Iran and North Korea and for his skepticism toward international institutions and arms-control agreements. His representative book, "The Room Where It Happened," recounts internal White House debates over the U.S.–North Korea summits, Iran policy, and relations with China and Russia, as well as his conflicts with Trump during his 453 days in office.
