Jenny Diski（ジェニー・ディスキ、1947–2016）は、イギリスの小説家、エッセイスト、ノンフィクション作家。ロンドン生まれ。幼少期の困難な家庭環境を経て、作家のDoris Lessingの支援を受けながら成長した。1980年代に作家デビューし、小説、旅行記、回想録、社会評論など幅広いジャンルで活躍した。率直で知的なユーモアに富んだ文章と、自身の経験を織り交ぜながら人間心理や社会を鋭く見つめる筆致で高く評価されている。晩年には進行がんとの日々を綴ったエッセイが大きな反響を呼び、生と死、記憶、孤独を静かなユーモアと深い洞察をもって描く現代イギリス文学を代表するエッセイストの一人として広く読まれている。
Jenny Diski (1947–2016) was a British novelist, essayist, and nonfiction writer. Born in London, she overcame a difficult childhood with the support of novelist Doris Lessing, who became an important mentor during her youth. Making her literary debut in the 1980s, Diski wrote acclaimed novels, memoirs, travel writing, and essays distinguished by their wit, intellectual curiosity, and psychological insight.
