Jennifer Egan（ジェニファー・イーガン、1962年生まれ）は、アメリカの小説家、ジャーナリスト。ペンシルベニア大学卒業後、イギリスのセント・ジョンズ・カレッジ（ケンブリッジ大学）で学び、その後は雑誌記者として活動しながら創作を続けた。実験的な構成と巧みな人物描写を特徴とし、時間、記憶、音楽、テクノロジー、人間関係をテーマにした作品で高く評価され、現代アメリカ文学を代表する作家の一人とされる。2010年刊行の『A Visit from the Goon Squad』は、音楽業界を舞台に多様な人物の人生を斬新な構成で描いた長編小説として高く評価され、2011年のピューリッツァー賞 フィクション部門を受賞した。2022年には続編『The Candy House』を刊行している。著書に『The Invisible Circus』『Look at Me』『The Keep』『A Visit from the Goon Squad』『Manhattan Beach』『The Candy House』などがある。
Jennifer Egan (born 1962) is an American novelist and journalist. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, she studied at St John's College, University of Cambridge before working as a magazine journalist and pursuing a career in fiction. Renowned for her inventive narrative structures and richly drawn characters, Egan explores themes of time, memory, music, technology, and human relationships. Her novel A Visit from the Goon Squad (2010), an innovative portrait of interconnected lives in and around the music industry, won the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. She later returned to many of its characters in the companion novel The Candy House (2022). Her other notable works include The Invisible Circus, Look at Me, The Keep, and Manhattan Beach.
