ジャン＝バティスト・フレソズ（Jean-Baptiste Fressoz、1977–）は、フランスの科学史家、環境史家。フランス国立科学研究センター（CNRS）の研究者として、エネルギー、環境、産業化の歴史を専門に研究している。近代社会における技術革新や化石燃料の利用、気候変動を歴史的な視点から分析し、環境問題をめぐる従来の通説を問い直す研究で国際的な注目を集めている。代表作『More and More and More』では、産業革命以降のエネルギー利用の歴史をたどり、「エネルギー転換」は単純な置き換えではなく、新旧のエネルギーが積み重なりながら拡大してきたと論じている。
Jean-Baptiste Fressoz (1977–) is a French historian of science and environmental historian. A researcher at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), he specializes in the history of energy, industrialization, and the environment. His work reexamines conventional narratives about technological progress, fossil fuels, and climate change, emphasizing the historical complexity of energy use and environmental transformation. His best-known book, "More and More and More", argues that modern societies have not simply replaced one energy source with another but have continually accumulated new sources alongside existing ones, offering a fresh perspective on the history of the energy transition.
