James Stanier（ジェームズ・スタニア）は、イギリスのソフトウェアエンジニア、エンジニアリングマネージャー、作家。長年にわたりソフトウェア開発と技術組織のマネジメントに携わり、スタートアップから大規模テクノロジー企業まで幅広い環境でエンジニアリング組織を率いてきた。現在はShopifyでDirector of Engineeringを務め、エンジニアリングマネジメントや技術リーダーシップの育成に取り組んでいる。エンジニアのキャリア形成、チーム運営、1on1、フィードバック、組織設計などを実践的に解説する第一人者として知られ、世界中のエンジニアリングマネージャーから高い支持を集めている。2024年刊行の『エンジニアリングマネージャーのしごと』（原題：The Engineering Manager's Handbook）では、エンジニアリングマネージャーに求められる役割や考え方、チームを効果的に導くための実践的な手法を体系的に解説している。
