Jaime Green（ジェイミー・グリーン） アメリカのサイエンスライター、エッセイスト、編集者。コロンビア大学でクリエイティブ・ノンフィクションの修士号（MFA）を取得し、ジョンズ・ホプキンス大学の科学ライティング修士課程で講師を務める。2019年から科学エッセイ集『The Best American Science and Nature Writing』のシリーズ編集者を務めるほか、『The New York Times』『The New York Times Magazine』『Slate』『The Atlantic』『Aeon』などに寄稿している。科学とSF、哲学、文化を横断しながら、複雑な科学のテーマを幅広い読者に伝える筆致で知られる。代表作『The Possibility of Life: Science, Imagination, and Our Quest for Kinship in the Cosmos』（未邦訳）は、地球外生命の探究をテーマに、天文学やアストロバイオロジーの最新研究とSF文学・映画・哲学を結び付けながら、「生命とは何か」「人類とは何か」という根源的な問いを探究した科学ノンフィクションである。科学と想像力を融合させた独創的な一冊として高く評価され、2023年ロサンゼルス・タイムズ図書賞（科学技術部門）のファイナリストに選ばれた。
Jaime Green is an American science writer, essayist, and editor. She earned an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Columbia University and is a lecturer in the Science Writing master's program at Johns Hopkins University. Since 2019, she has served as the series editor of *The Best American Science and Nature Writing*, and her work has appeared in *The New York Times*, *The New York Times Magazine*, *Slate*, *The Atlantic*, and *Aeon*. Known for blending science with literature, philosophy, and culture, she explores complex scientific ideas through engaging, interdisciplinary storytelling. Her best-known book, "The Possibility of Life: Science, Imagination, and Our Quest for Kinship in the Cosmos," examines humanity's search for extraterrestrial life by weaving together modern astronomy, astrobiology, science fiction, and philosophy.
