Geraldine Brooks（ジェラルディン・ブルックス、1955年生まれ）は、オーストラリア生まれのアメリカの小説家、ジャーナリスト。シドニー大学卒業後、コロンビア大学でジャーナリズムの修士号を取得した。The Wall Street Journal の外国特派員として中東、アフリカ、バルカン半島などを取材し、その経験を生かした歴史小説で国際的な評価を得ている。2005年刊行の『March』は、Little Womenに登場するマーチ家の父親を主人公にした独創的な歴史小説として高く評価され、2006年のピューリッツァー賞 フィクション部門を受賞した。著書に『Year of Wonders』『March』『People of the Book』『Caleb's Crossing』『Horse』などがある。

Geraldine Brooks (born 1955) is an Australian-born American novelist and journalist. After graduating from the University of Sydney, she earned a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University. As a foreign correspondent for The Wall Street Journal, she reported from the Middle East, Africa, and the Balkans, experiences that later informed her acclaimed historical fiction. Her novel March (2005), an imaginative reworking of Little Women from the perspective of the March family's father, won the 2006 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. Her other notable works include Year of Wonders, People of the Book, Caleb's Crossing, and Horse, all celebrated for their rich historical detail and compelling storytelling.
