C・サラ・ソー（C. Sarah Soh）は、韓国生まれの文化人類学者。アメリカのサンフランシスコ州立大学名誉教授で、ジェンダー、人類学、韓国社会、東アジアの歴史を専門としている。韓国の家族制度や女性の地位、ナショナリズムなどを長年にわたり研究し、とりわけ慰安婦問題を歴史学、人類学、ジェンダー研究の視点から多角的に分析した研究で国際的に知られる。著書『The Comfort Women: Sexual Violence and Postcolonial Memory in Korea and Japan』では、史料と証言をもとに、慰安婦問題を歴史的・社会的文脈の中で考察し、戦時性暴力と戦後の記憶形成の関係を論じている。
C. Sarah Soh is a Korean-born cultural anthropologist and Professor Emerita at San Francisco State University. Her research focuses on gender, family, Korean society, and the historical and cultural dynamics of East Asia. She is internationally recognized for her work on the history of the "comfort women," examining the issue through the perspectives of anthropology, gender studies, and postcolonial history. In The Comfort Women: Sexual Violence and Postcolonial Memory in Korea and Japan, she explores the historical evidence, political narratives, and collective memory surrounding the issue, highlighting its complexity and its continuing impact on relations between Korea and Japan.
