リチャード・P・ファインマン（Richard P. Feynman、1918–1988）は、アメリカの理論物理学者。量子電磁力学（QED）の発展に大きく貢献し、その業績により1965年にノーベル物理学賞を受賞した。コーネル大学を経てカリフォルニア工科大学（Caltech）で長年教鞭を執り、卓越した研究者であると同時に、複雑な科学を平易かつ魅力的に伝える教育者としても広く知られる。代表作『ご冗談でしょう、ファインマンさん』では、ユーモアあふれるエピソードを通して、科学への探究心と自由な発想の大切さを生き生きと描いている。

Richard P. Feynman (1918–1988) was an American theoretical physicist. He made fundamental contributions to the development of quantum electrodynamics (QED), work that earned him the 1965 Nobel Prize in Physics. After teaching at Cornell University, he spent most of his career at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), where he became renowned not only for his research but also for his extraordinary ability to explain complex scientific ideas with clarity and enthusiasm. His best-known book, "Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!", captures his curiosity, humor, and unconventional approach to science and life.
