Rebecca Boyle（レベッカ・ボイル） アメリカのサイエンスジャーナリスト、ノンフィクション作家。天文学、宇宙探査、地球・惑星科学を中心に取材し、『Scientific American』の寄稿編集者を務めるほか、『The New York Times』『The Atlantic』『Quanta Magazine』『New Scientist』などに寄稿している。コロラド州立大学で歴史学を学び、科学の発見を人類の歴史や文化と結び付けて描く記事で知られる。代表作『月と地球の進化論』（原題: "Our Moon: How Earth's Celestial Companion Transformed the Planet, Guided Evolution, and Made Us Who We Are"）は、月の誕生から地球環境や生命の進化、人類の文明、そして宇宙探査に至るまで、月が地球と人類の歴史に果たしてきた役割を描いた科学ノンフィクションである。最新の惑星科学と豊富な歴史資料を織り交ぜながら、人類に最も身近な天体の知られざる物語を描いた作品として高く評価され、2024年全米図書賞ノンフィクション部門ロングリストにも選出された。
