ラビ・アラムディン（Rabih Alameddine、1959年–）は、ヨルダンのアンマンにレバノン人の両親のもとに生まれ、レバノンとアメリカを拠点に活動する小説家、画家。工学を学んだのち創作へ転じ、レバノン内戦や移民としての経験、クィア・アイデンティティ、家族の記憶を、ユーモアと幾重にも重なる物語を通して描いてきた。シリア難民を支援するレバノン系アメリカ人医師を描いた『The Wrong End of the Telescope』（未邦訳）で2022年のPEN／フォークナー賞を受賞。レバノンの激動の60年間を、母親と暮らすゲイの哲学教師の回想からたどる『The True True Story of Raja the Gullible (and His Mother)』（未邦訳）で、2025年の全米図書賞小説部門を受賞した。
Rabih Alameddine (1959–) is a Lebanese-American novelist and painter born in Amman, Jordan, to Lebanese parents. After studying engineering, he turned to painting and fiction, writing about the Lebanese Civil War, migration, queer identity, family memory, and the act of storytelling through narratives that combine humor with layered histories. “The Wrong End of the Telescope,” centered on a Lebanese-American doctor assisting Syrian refugees, won the 2022 PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction. “The True True Story of Raja the Gullible (and His Mother),” which recounts six turbulent decades of Lebanese history through a gay philosophy teacher’s memories of his family and mother, won the 2025 National Book Award for Fiction.
