Rabih Alameddine(ラビー・アラメディン、1959年生まれ)は、レバノン出身のアメリカの小説家、画家。ヨルダン・アンマンでレバノン人の両親のもとに生まれ、クウェートとレバノンで育った後、17歳で渡英し、その後アメリカへ移住した。University of California, Los Angelesで工学を学んだのち、作家・画家として活動を開始。戦争、亡命、移民、クィア・アイデンティティ、記憶をテーマに、レバノン内戦や中東の歴史を背景とした作品で国際的に高く評価されている。"The Wrong End of the Telescope"で2022年のPEN/Faulkner Award for Fictionを受賞し、2025年には"The True True Story of Raja the Gullible (and His Mother)"でNational Book Award for Fictionを受賞した。著書に"The Hakawati"、"An Unnecessary Woman"、"The Angel of History"、"Comforting Myths"などがある。

Rabih Alameddine (born 1959) is a Lebanese-American novelist and painter. Born in Amman, Jordan, to Lebanese parents, he grew up in Kuwait and Lebanon before moving to England and later the United States. After studying engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles, he turned to writing and painting. His work explores war, exile, migration, queer identity, memory, and the legacy of the Lebanese Civil War with stylistic innovation and emotional depth. He won the 2022 PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction for "The Wrong End of the Telescope" and the 2025 National Book Award for Fiction for "The True True Story of Raja the Gullible (and His Mother)." His other notable books include "The Hakawati," "An Unnecessary Woman," "The Angel of History," and the nonfiction work "Comforting Myths: Concerning the Political in Art." Wikipedia ↗
