落合 陽一（yoichi ochiai）- メディアアーティスト

落合 陽一（おちあい よういち、1987年–）は、日本のメディアアーティスト、情報科学研究者、起業家。筑波大学情報学群情報メディア創成学類卒業。2015年に東京大学大学院学際情報学府博士課程を修了し、博士（学際情報学）を取得した。筑波大学教授、デジタルネイチャー開発研究センター長を務め、人間とコンピューターの相互作用や、光・音を用いた映像・触覚技術を研究する。著書『デジタルネイチャー』では、計算機が生活環境に溶け込み、自然と人工、人間と機械の境界が変化する世界像を提示。『日本再興戦略』では、AIなどの技術革新と人口減少・高齢化を踏まえ、教育、働き方、地域社会の仕組みをどう変えるかを論じる。研究と芸術制作の両面から、計算機を画面の中の道具としてだけでなく、人の身体や周囲の環境に働きかける存在として捉えている。

Yoichi Ochiai (born 1987) is a Japanese media artist, computer science researcher, and entrepreneur. He graduated from the University of Tsukuba’s College of Media Arts, Science and Technology and earned a PhD in Interdisciplinary Information Studies from the University of Tokyo in 2015. A professor at the University of Tsukuba and director of its Research and Development Center for Digital Nature, he studies human–computer interaction and visual and haptic technologies using light and sound. In “Digital Nature,” he presents a vision of computation becoming embedded in everyday environments, transforming boundaries between nature and technology, and between humans and machines. “Nihon Saiko Senryaku” examines how Japan might reshape education, work, and local communities in response to technological advances, population decline, and aging. Across research and artistic practice, he explores computers as systems that act upon bodies and physical surroundings as well as screens.
