小川 光生（OGAWA Mitsuo）- 翻訳家、サッカーライター

小川光生（おがわ みつお）は、日本のサッカーライター、翻訳家。イタリアのサッカーと社会を題材に、取材、執筆、翻訳を手がけている。マッテオ・マラーニの『セリエA発アウシュヴィッツ行き』では、優勝監督として活躍しながら、ファシズムと人種法のもとで命を奪われたアールパード・ヴァイスの生涯を紹介。著書『サッカーとイタリア人』では、競技を支える文化や人々の価値観をたどる。『プレーのどこを視るか』では、イタリアのスポーツ紙『ガゼッタ』の採点を手がかりに、試合を評価する視点を伝えている。ザッケローニを取り上げた著作など、指導者の考え方や歩みを描く仕事もある。

Mitsuo Ogawa is a Japanese football writer and translator whose work connects Italian football with its wider social setting. Matteo Marani’s biography of Árpád Weisz, published in Japanese as “Serie A-hatsu Auschwitz-yuki,” recovers the life of a championship-winning coach persecuted under fascism and racial laws. Ogawa’s own book “Soccer to Italia-jin” examines the culture and values surrounding the sport in Italy. “Play no Doko o Miru ka” uses the ratings of the newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport to introduce ways of evaluating matches. He also writes about coaches, including Alberto Zaccheroni, and their approaches to leadership.
