Mari Okada (1978–) is a Japanese sports writer, novelist, and screenwriter. After working in athlete management, she built a career as a freelance journalist covering professional baseball, Major League Baseball, combat sports, and the Olympic Games. In 2014, she founded the Baseball Legend Foundation, a nonprofit organization that promotes charitable and community initiatives through baseball. She has since expanded into fiction and screenwriting. Her debut novel, Nukumori no Senritsu (Melody of Warmth), won the Shizuoka Booksellers Award for Fiction, reflecting her growing reputation beyond sports journalism.
