The Japan Science Fiction Writers Club is a professional association of Japanese science fiction writers, translators, critics, and other creators, founded in 1963. Dedicated to the promotion and development of science fiction, it brings together many of Japan's leading SF authors and creative professionals. In addition to fostering exchange within the literary community, the club engages with publishing, film, anime, and gaming, organizes lectures and events, and promotes international collaboration. It is also responsible for administering the Japan SF Award, one of the country's most prestigious honors in science fiction.
