Nathan Thrall（ネイサン・スロール）は、アメリカのジャーナリスト、作家、中東研究者。カリフォルニア州出身で、現在はエルサレムを拠点に活動している。長年にわたりInternational Crisis Groupでイスラエル・パレスチナ問題を担当し、同団体のアラブ・イスラエル・プロジェクト・ディレクターを務めた。イスラエル・パレスチナ紛争、中東政治、外交を専門とし、緻密な取材と歴史的分析に基づくルポルタージュや評論で国際的に高く評価されている。著作や論考は The New York Times Magazine、The New York Review of Books、The Guardian、London Review of Books などに掲載されている。2023年刊行の『A Day in the Life of Abed Salama: Anatomy of a Jerusalem Tragedy』は、イスラエル占領下のパレスチナで起きた悲劇を一人の父親の視点から描いたノンフィクションとして高い評価を受け、2024年のピューリッツァー賞 一般ノンフィクション部門を受賞した。著書に『The Only Language They Understand: Forcing Compromise in Israel and Palestine』『A Day in the Life of Abed Salama: Anatomy of a Jerusalem Tragedy』などがある。
Nathan Thrall is an American journalist, author, and Middle East analyst based in Jerusalem. He spent a decade at the International Crisis Group, where he served as Director of the Arab-Israeli Project, and has also taught at Bard College. Specializing in the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, Middle Eastern politics, and diplomacy, he is widely recognized for combining rigorous historical analysis with deeply reported narrative nonfiction. His reporting and essays have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, The New York Review of Books, The Guardian, and the London Review of Books. His 2023 book, "A Day in the Life of Abed Salama: Anatomy of a Jerusalem Tragedy," a deeply human account of life under occupation told through the story of a Palestinian father, won the 2024 Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction. His other notable works include "The Only Language They Understand: Forcing Compromise in Israel and Palestine" and "A Day in the Life of Abed Salama: Anatomy of a Jerusalem Tragedy."
