凪良 ゆう（なぎら ゆう、1973年–）は、日本の小説家。滋賀県生まれ。男性同士の恋愛を描くBL小説から活動を広げ、社会の常識や周囲の善意では捉えきれない関係と、自分の生き方を選ぼうとする人々を描く。代表作『流浪の月』では、誘拐事件の被害者と加害者と見なされた二人が十五年後に再会し、世間が信じる事件像と当事者の経験との隔たりを浮かび上がらせ、2020年に本屋大賞を受賞した。『汝、星のごとく』では、瀬戸内の島で出会った高校生の暁海と櫂が、親との関係や経済的な事情に縛られながら、恋愛と仕事、人生の選択に向き合う歳月を描き、2023年に二度目の本屋大賞を受賞。誰かを愛することと、その人と共に生きられることの間にある難しさを、生活の具体的な条件から描いている。

Yu Nagira (born 1973) is a Japanese novelist from Shiga Prefecture. She began her career in boys’ love fiction, depicting romantic relationships between men, before expanding into fiction about bonds that resist social conventions and well-meaning assumptions. “Ruro no Tsuki” follows two people labeled the victim and perpetrator of an abduction as they reunite fifteen years later, exposing the gap between the publicly accepted account and their own experiences. The novel won the Japan Booksellers’ Award in 2020. “Nanji, Hoshi no Gotoku,” which won the same award in 2023, traces the lives of Akimi and Kai, who meet as teenagers on an island in the Seto Inland Sea. Constrained by family responsibilities and financial circumstances, they struggle with love, work, and the choices that shape their futures. Through the practical realities of their lives, Nagira explores why loving someone does not necessarily make a shared life possible.
