Go Nagai (born 1945) is a Japanese manga artist. He is one of the most influential creators in the history of manga and anime, known for landmark works such as "Harenchi Gakuen," "Mazinger Z," and "Devilman." He received the Minister of Education Award from the Japan Cartoonists Association in 2005 and was named a Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French government in 2018. His best-known work, "Devilman," follows a young man who gains demonic powers, exploring universal themes such as the nature of humanity, war, discrimination, and violence.
