ナシーム・ニコラス・タレブ（Nassim Nicholas Taleb、1960–） レバノン生まれのエッセイスト、リスク研究者、元デリバティブ・トレーダー。金融市場での実務経験をもとに、不確実性、確率、リスク、意思決定をテーマとする研究と執筆を続けている。ニューヨーク大学タンデン工学部でリスク工学の特別教授を務めるなど、学術と実務の双方で活動し、「ブラック・スワン」や「反脆弱性」といった概念を通じて、予測困難な世界への向き合い方に大きな影響を与えた。代表作『ブラック・スワン』（The Black Swan）は、予測不能でありながら社会や経済に甚大な影響を及ぼす事象の本質を分析し、不確実性を理解するための新たな視点を提示した。
Nassim Nicholas Taleb (1960–) is a Lebanese-born essayist, risk researcher, and former derivatives trader. Drawing on his experience in financial markets, he writes extensively on uncertainty, probability, risk, and decision-making. He has served as Distinguished Professor of Risk Engineering at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering and has had a profound influence on both academic and public discussions through concepts such as the "Black Swan" and "antifragility." His best-known book, "The Black Swan", explores how rare, unpredictable events can have extraordinary consequences and challenges conventional approaches to forecasting and managing uncertainty.
