Naomi Klein (born 1970) is a Canadian journalist, author, and social critic. She is internationally recognized for her analysis of globalization, neoliberalism, climate change, and democracy. A contributor to publications including *The Guardian* and *The Nation*, she also serves as a professor at the University of British Columbia. Her landmark book *The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism* argues that governments and corporations have repeatedly used moments of crisis—such as wars, natural disasters, and economic collapses—to implement controversial free-market reforms.
